Carlin - Drilling Services Administrator

Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is looking for a Drilling Services Administrator to join the Carlin MRM team.

The Drilling Services Administrator manages all drilling data being collected and released through the Drilling Services Section; the day-to-day coordination of Carlin MRM drilling operations; daily interface with mine site-based Drilling Supervisors and Contractors; drilling contract compliance; financial + administrative duties and reporting. The position reports to the Carlin Drilling Services Administrator Lead and provides support to the Carlin Mineral Resource Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Liaises with and supports Mine Site Drilling Supervisors on daily basis.
• Maintains solid working relationships with NGM departments (Safety, IT, Contracts, Accounts Payable, MRM, Project Management, Supervisory and Coordinating Personnel).
• Compile and distribute weekly and monthly Drilling Services reports.
• Creation of presentation graphics for daily, weekly, monthly and on demand reports.
• Maintain and circulate meeting schedules, meeting minutes and related action logs.
• Maintain and query rostering and leave requests for Drill Services staff.
• Monitor contractor staffing levels per rig.
• Complete purchase order requisitions and invoice reconciliations.
• Cost monitoring and reporting.
• Maintaining relevant files, filing structures and supporting documentation.
• Assist in the development, publishing and document control of drilling SOP’s.
• Complete routine cost comparisons – drill rig to drill rig, consumables usage, drilling costs, standby and worktime.
• Create Purchase Requisitions, track purchase orders and Authorizations for Expenditure (AFEs) in SAP.
• Manage drilling project financials and support Geologists with Drilling checklists, month end reporting, accruals, and Asset addition forms (AAFs)
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Professional and detail-oriented attitude required.
• Demonstrated safety, performance and attendance record required.
• Experience with and understanding of general office procedures required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interacting across all organizational levels required.
• Proficiency using MS Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
• Pre-existing experience or ability to learn SAP software preferred.
• Ability to work in a diverse team and fast-paced work environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic drill operations (i.e. rotary, core, muds etc.) preferred.
• Previous exposure to Mining and or Drilling industry (1-2yrs) preferred.
• Previous data entry, clerical, administrative, contract management roles (2-4yrs) within or external to mining and drilling industries preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in analysis and reporting of financial and or business data (1-2yrs) preferred .
