Job Description
Currently seeking Caregivers to assist with clients in the Fort Payne, AL area. The ideal candidate will possess 1 year of Home Care experience.
Our qualified Home Health Aides (HHA) work closely with patients and are responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming, basic meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, home safety, handling emergencies in the home, and infection control. GoodLife Cares HHAs ensure our patients receive essential social and emotional support and provide vital information on patient conditions to nurses. Our HHAs are also utilized for companion and sitter services.
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of HHA experience required, based on state requirements, with home health experience preferred
- Current CPR certification, based on state requirements
- Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements
- Copy of updated TB results/ Chest x-ray
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Administer care to clients in accordance with established nursing plans of care.
- Document client clinical records in accordance with policies and procedures, and reflect delivery of quality and safe home health care services.
- Maintain nursing notes on a daily basis regarding clients' physical, emotional and social status.
- Record and report in an accurate manner any symptoms, reactions or responses of clients that have changed.
- Conduct personal hygiene duties for clients to include bathing and grooming.
- Assure clients environments are neat and orderly to include performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining laundry.
- Prepare clients' meals in accordance with dietary requirements and established plans of care.
- Transfer clients to and from beds, chairs and other locations in a safe manner.
- Ambulate clients in a safe manner with and without ambulatory devices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
