Caregiver- Memory Care- Day Shift

Caregiver

• We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in our Memory Care unit. This requires working from 6am to 2pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. 30 hours. ( with benefits)

  Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and assistance to residents.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Create a comfortable and nurturing environment for residents.
  • Respond to residents' needs and emergencies promptly and appropriately, following established protocols and ensuring their safety.
  • Provide support and assistance during mealtimes, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met.
  • Document resident observations, interactions, and any changes in their condition accurately and timely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a caregiver in a residential or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with caring for individuals with dementia/memory loss.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with residents, families, and team members.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy towards seniors and individuals with memory impairment.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
