Caregiver - Contract Position

Overview:

This role will be a Contract Position starting April 7th, 2024, and ending June 7th, 2024, with the possibility of an extension to make the role permanent with an agreement from both parties.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met

- Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks under the supervision of healthcare professionals

- Monitor and report changes in clients' physical, mental, or emotional health to the appropriate personnel

- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting a positive and nurturing environment

- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment to ensure safety

- Support individuals requiring hospice care with compassion and sensitivity

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Caregiver or in a related role is preferred

- Familiarity with providing direct support to individuals with diverse needs is a plus

- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations

- Experience in senior care or working with individuals with behavioral challenges is beneficial

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

This role will be a Contract Position starting April 7th, 2024 and ending June 7th, 2024 with the posiblitiy of extension of a permanet role with an agreement of both parties.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
