A typical day as CAPI’s Career Pathways Manager oversees training programming (i.e., certificate, credential, post-secondary, licensure, etc.), direct job placement programming, and SNAP Employment and Training. Funding may include but not be limited to the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), City/County, and State of MN. This position provides day-to-day administration, financial management ($1 M+ annually), and ongoing staff supervision and support of 6+ FTE employees; CAPI’s Economic Empowerment unit collectively serves 600-800 people annually and will include the following:
- Primary responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating programming; financial/contract management and reporting; staff supervision and training; and contributing to the agency’s overall effectiveness.
- Provides effective fiscal oversight of programs to enhance CAPI’s financial position
- Manages employee and team performance; ensures adequate employee training; communicates job expectations and coach employees; supports employee professional development aspirations; investigates complaints and performance concerns; implements disciplinary action as needed and in consultation with HR Director
- Support CAPI’s agency-wide Civic Engagement and Public Policy values and initiatives and incorporate civic engagement and Public Policy into routine case management work
- Other duties as assigned
- BA degree in Administration, Education, Organization Development, or related field, with at least four (4) years of experience in progressively responsible positions or a demonstrable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory and program management experience.
- Previous experience in DEED funding, SNAP E&T, and/or workforce development programming and work with diverse communities preferred.
- Your schedule allows you to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet CAPI’s driving record requirements.
