Career Development Program - Corporate Tax
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS is seeking candidates for a part-time Tax Career Development role at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO. The intent of this position is to provide a year-round, entry-level position to currently enrolled college students on our Corporate Tax team. This is an exciting, year-round opportunity for candidates who excel in a busy, achievement-oriented environment. The purpose of the Career Development Program is to obtain relevant work experience that can lead to long-term placement with JBS. School credit may be available.
Responsibilities will vary based on the role but may include:

• Prepare tax returns
• Prepare tax payments
• Assist with notice correspondence
• Assist with tax audits
• Complete special tax projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Preferred availability is 4-6 hours per day, a total of 20-30 hours per week. Hours must be scheduled Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, year-round. The estimated start date for this position will be around January 2024.
• Actively pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree required. Accounting, Finance, or Business degree preferred.
• Self-motivated
• Maintain a high level of accuracy
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of management
• Quick learner with ability to complete responsibilities independently with training
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Paid Time Off: sick leave and vacation; and
• Base salary of $20/hr;

This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to a candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiencies for the role.
