Job Description
Phoenix Behavioral Health, a quality provider in mental health and substance abuse treatment, is seeking to hire a full-time Case Manager/Group Counselor for our Mental Health Partial Care program located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Primary responsibilities include conducting in person psycho-educational groups, carry a designated caseload, document group, individual and family progress notes, and completing individual service plans on clients receiving services. The Case Manager will also complete biopsychosocial evaluations, perform outreach calls, and coordinating case management needs for individuals who struggle with mental health and co-occurring disabilities.
Eligible candidates must have a Bachelors degree in a related human service field (prefer experience working with mental health and substance use population), strong clinical skills, time management skills, and a commitment to providing quality services/support.

- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards within the Department
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal and written Communication Skills
- Knowledge of State and Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality Laws
- Knowledge of Drug Free Workplace Policies
- Knowledge of Workplace Violence
- Knowledge of current technology
- Knowledge of Substance Use Disorder
- Familiar with community resources
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
- Associates degree with two years experience will be considered.
- HS diploma or GED with five years experience will be considered.
- Experience working with individuals who have behavioral health needs (trauma, mental illness and/or substance abuse)
- Experience in providing case management services in the mental health or Substance Abuse community
- Experience providing group treatment (psychoeducational groups)
- Experience working on a multidisciplinary team to engage participants
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and community resources
- Computer literate. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
