Job Description
Summary
The First Responder connects with the person served utilizing tele-health equipment (provided by Red Rock) to provide support services to the Virtual Response/Crisis team. The First Responder will provide crisis support and stabilization to youth and adults in the Red Rock coverage area to help prevent inpatient care. The First Responder will work closely and collaborate with Licensed Mental Health Professionals, individuals/families, and community providers to help the individual in crisis maintain safety in the least restrictive environment possible.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Completes documentation and billing paperwork in a timely manner
- Provides crisis assistance to assure safety of consumers by consultation with consumer, staff psychiatrist, family members, and area hospitals/emergency units
- Demonstrates confidentiality and safeguarding of PHI, and informs consumers of rights; obtains necessary authorization for obtaining and releasing information
- Respond to calls from the communities and family for crisis support and stabilization
- Develop crisis/safety plans to help the individual be able to safely maintain in the community
- Help facilitate a high quality place of care when necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certified CMII or Therapist (under supervision or licensed) Bilingual preferred
- Basic computer skills; ability to connect through internet to Red Rock data system
- Valid Oklahoma Driver License, a clean Motor Vehicle Record, and current Auto Insurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess high level of clinical judgment
- Must take initiative and be self-driven
- Proficient in the use of technology to perform duties
