Nutrition Care Manager

Carolina Meadows is looking for an experienced Nurtrition Care Manager to lead the Dining Operations in our Health Center("Pines"). This position is primarily responsible for Pines dining services and nutritional care, in the absence of the Registered Dietitian, for the Pines operations in Dining Services department. Direct supervision and evaluation of dietary employees and resident satisfaction.
Resident Care and Department Operations. Dietary Dining Services Operation
1. Monitors and ensures all Health Center dining services operations are in compliance with community policies and procedure and state and federal regulations.

• Maintains adequate staffing levels and employee scheduling to meet the daily operation.
• Attendsrequired committee and resident council meetingsfor the Health Center. Documents information and files appropriately, providing copies to the Dining Services Director as required.

Administrative and Nutritional Documentation
2. Performs clerical functions related to operations and residents care for Pines Dining Services and other administrative duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
3. Acts as a leader and manager of assigned positions; ensuring productivity, efficiency and accuracy in work performed.

• Maintains payroll and timesheets for all dietary staff; forwards to Human Resources at end of each pay cycle.
• Creates the daily, weekly and monthly work and cleaning schedule of all dietary staff. Post employee schedule in the kitchen. Makes any adjustments to the employee schedule as appropriate and posts new schedule within the same day.
• Ensures initial and on-going training is provided to employees as needed; ensures cross training is completed as appropriate.
• Prepares and submits annual budget for approval by the Vice President of Dining Services, President/CEO and Chief Financial Officer.
• Identifies unacceptable performance and behavior exhibited by employees and takes

appropriate action; utilizes progressive discipline policy when appropriate and maintains documentation as required.

• Conducts annual performance evaluations of all dietary staff; sends copy of evaluation to Human Resources.
• Assures that all dietary staff follows established policies and procedures at all times.
• Screens, interviews and hires new staff on an as needed basis.
