Job Description:
The Role:
Cardiology & ECG Technician
Schedule: Primarily Mon-Fri, day shift
The Work:
- Reviews patient's record and instructs patient before and during procedures. Monitors patients during procedures and reports any abnormal findings. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
- Prepares patients for cardiology procedures including ECG, cardiology stress testing, holter monitoring, and event monitoring.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting. Maintains exam areas.
- Ensures procedure charges are obtained and entered in the appropriate software with timeliness and accuracy.
You Have:
- Previous experience performing ECGs and placing cardiac monitors is preferred but will train on the job for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of cardiac procedures and terminology is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with and troubleshoot medical equipment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to provide instructions to patients with compassion and professionalism.
