The Division of Business Operations (DBO), Building Operations Center (BOC) is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill a vacant Staff Services Analyst/ Associate Governmental Program Analyst position. This position will be located at 1120 N Street in Sacramento and will have Building Operations and Facility Management responsibilities.
Under the general direction of a Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the incumbent is responsible for coordinating various facility related projects and performing building management tasks. As a member of the Business Operation Center (BOC), the incumbent evaluates customers facility needs, inspects areas of concern, identifies, and analyzes options and presents to management. The incumbent will establish and maintains cooperative working relationships with facilities and divisional staff while working on all assignments; coordinate procurement of supplies and services; is responsible for the DUDE Solutions website to process building tenant requests and Department of General Services (DGS) MAXIMO requests; and utilize these systems to coordinate the completion of service requests with Facility Contacts, DGS, and contractors. Responsible for tracking and monitoring the progress of the requests and ensuring that they are addressed in a timely manner while providing follow-up to customers as needed. Working independently, analyzing proposals, and providing high level customer service are a few of the day-to-day duties of this position. Exceptional communication is required, and strong organizational skills are a must. This position is responsible for performing varied analytical duties for Caltrans' Division of Business Operations (DBO), and great attention to detail is required to ensure the integrity of documents and transactions.
The ideal candidate is detail focused, enjoys a team environment, and can occasionally work in a teleworking environment with a high degree of initiative and independence.
Eligibility for hire is determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst Exam. You must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Working Conditions
Position located in Sacramento.
The duties of this postiion are performed in a climate-controlled office under artificial light. Building temperatures may fluctuate and duties may periodically be performed in a teleworking environment, which includes managing tasks remotely. When travel outside of the office is required, it will be conducted in either a personal or state-owned vehicle, on light rail, or by airplane when required. The primary workspace is a modern office setting, of mixed hard-walled and modular furniture design, containing computer and telecommunications equipment. The position requires sitting for prolonged periods more than 10 minutes at a time and utilizing a computer keyboard and monitor for prolonged periods. Requirements includes the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships as well as respond appropriately to multiple workload requests and conflicting deadlines.
