The Juneau Capital AKcess program is seeking a Substitute Dispatcher to work as needed in the absence of the usual Dispatchers. The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling rides, communicating schedule changes to drivers, inputting passenger and ride information into a database, and filling in as driver as needed.
Must be 21 years of age, have an Alaska driver’s license (standard Class D only, no CDL required) and a good driving record for the past 18 months with no DUI or reckless driving for the past three years. Basic computer experience is required (typing and data entry, ability to navigate between different screens, pages, and programs with a mouse). Experience working with senior citizens and/or persons with disabilities is preferred. Basic knowledge of routine vehicle maintenance is desirable but not required. Background check and pre-employment/random drug tests required.
This position is on-call. Starting wage $19.50/hour DOE.
