Description of Duties
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of a park campground system. Duties involve ensuring reservations are made promptly and accurately and campgrounds are adequately supplied, processing payments, maintaining and cleaning campgrounds, and providing customer service to the public. All duties are performed in accordance with park regulations. General supervision is exercised over seasonal laborers. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Park Supervisor or other higher level staff member. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma , PLUS either:
(A) Graduation with an Associate’s degree or sixty (60) credit hours, plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience involving customer service or responsible public contact work**; OR,
(B) Three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as defined in (A) above; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
**Responsible public contact work is defined as substantial face-to-face, or telephone communication with adults (age 12+) involving customer service, persuasion, teaching, negotiation, explaining, counseling, and similar activities. The nature of the content is such that it requires judgment on the part of the individual in dealing with or responding to another person.
