Title: Calibration Technician

Job Description: Job Overview: *** Corporate Engineering Support Services team has a Calibration Technician position open in San Diego, CA. The team is seeking an experienced calibration technician to support general purpose and RF communications test equipment. The role is responsible for performing test equipment calibration and troubleshooting to determine out-of-tolerance test equipment in San Diego.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Perform Measure & Test Equipment (M&TE) calibration at a mid-level capacity at *** San Diego lab location. Provide a focal point for the coordination of M&TE calibration.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum three years of hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: Power supply calibration (up to 1000 W), Frequency counter calibration (up to 26.5 GHz), Oscilloscope calibration (up to 26.5 GHz), Signal generator calibration (up to 26.5 GHz), Function generator calibration, Power meter calibration.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in all areas listed in the minimum qualifications and experience in two or more of the following areas is preferred: Digital signal generator calibration (LTE and TD-SCDMA), Spectrum/signal analyzer calibration (up to 26.5 GHz), Network analyzer calibration (up to 26.5 GHz), Power sensor calibration (up to 26.5 GHz), Communication analyzer calibration, Component/assembly level repair of radio frequency (RF) test equipment (up to 26.5 GHz).
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Equipment - entry level equipment usage - power supplys, O-scopes, etc
Technicians from medical field are not usually successful in this role- does not translate well,
Position hours are flexible.
Would be willing to cross train the right candidate
Would accept someone with prior electronics lab testing
