Mechanical Calibration Technician 1322989

A leading technology company is looking for a Mechanical Calibration Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for direct application of technical skills. Working within the designated area of expertise, the candidate will clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting our technicians and NPI Engineers. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience in the calibration and repair of mechanical test equipment. Mechanical Calibration Technician Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $24/hr
  • Worksite: Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Santa Clara, CA 95054 - Onsite)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment

Mechanical Calibration Technician Responsibilities:

  • Repair and/or Calibration of mechanical measuring/indicating devices (micrometers, scales, digital indicators,etc.).
  • Mechanical measurement/calibration of plain/thread pins and plug gages.
  • Mechanical measurement of precision milled and turned sub-miniature high frequency electronic parts.
  • Demonstrate mechanical competence.
  • Work with clearly defined objectives on assignments that may be repetitive in nature.
  • Solve technical problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Perform adjustments, calibrations and basic repairs.
  • Escalate more difficult repairs to experienced technicians.
  • Exhibit the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with wide range of people.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of business ethics.
  • Provide consistent, solid contribution to team and service center delivery goals.
  • Exercise good discretion in the use of time and other resources. Maximize the use of existing assets, multi-tasks effectively, and ensures our resources are used properly (i.e. connector care, ESD, ETE).
  • Maintain high workmanship standards and deliver on commitments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers. May initiate customer interaction as appropriate. Escalate issues through appropriate channels when necessary. This is done verbally or via written correspondence.
  • Adhere to established processes and is responsible for achieving established team goals.

Mechanical Calibration Technician Qualifications:

  • Prior experience is strongly preferred. Applicant should have 2+ years of related experience in the calibration and repair of mechanical test equipment.
  • This position requires some education, specialized training/certification, or Military experience.
  • Experience using automated calibration software platforms is a plus. Strong PC (MS Windows/Office) skills are a must.
  • Ideal candidate should have basic understanding of mechanical metrology hand tool calibration techniques.
  • Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
