POWER Engineers, Inc - Facilities Building and Infrastructure Business Unit is growing, and we are currently seeking a CAD/BIM Department Manager. In this role you will work closely with all Facilities departments, the Digital Technology manager, and our Division Leadership, to support our existing departments in the use, conformance, and training in all the CAD/BIM digital design technologies. You will be responsible for the continual growth and success of the CAD/BIM and Scan team as well as the Facilities department design technology SMEs within each department. We are looking for an individual that knows what it means to be a leader, not just a manager. The CAD/BIM Department Manager at POWER is responsible for developing Facilities CAD/BIM workflows and procedures, documentation, software evaluations, software implementations, annual strategic plans, working with bi-annual personnel appraisals, and developing short- and long-term initiatives for the CAD/BIM and Scan team. The CAD/BIM Department Manager will also work with all other POWER Facilities production departments too drive alignment to the 2D/3D/BIM and reality capture technology use and standards. You'll get to develop and grow our internal team, production departments, and clients through professional organizations, conferences, tradeshows, presentations, thought leadership, and knowledge transfer.
It is essential that you have a solid understanding of the department's day-to-day management, take ownership over completing CAD/BIM initiatives on time and in budget, develop your team's skills, and take an active role in hiring and retaining talented team members. Growth within the Department must be a focus; the company overall and the Facilities Division are both growing in both people and revenue, it is expected that the CAD/BIM and Scan team Departments are also growing to support the Division in the use of digital design technologies and reality capture. This means we need to grow within our current market, and we need to grow into new markets to strengthen our position.
You will need to be an initiative-taking, excellent collaborator and someone that wants to take ownership of initiatives, including business development, to drive them to the next level. You will report to the Business Unit Director and be a peer leader with the other discipline Department Managers.
Here are a few things you can expect

• Accountable for department morale, operations, productivity, revenue, utilization, and profitability
• Perform Bi-annual personal appraisals.
• Day-to-day oversight of the Facilities CAD/BIM team
• Lead and participate in department short- and long-term initiatives.
• Development of project proposals and budgets.
• Manage financial, technical training and professional development of staff.
• Develop and/or maintain department procedures and standards.
• Perform project quality control reviews.

Required Education/Experience

• 5 years of experience in CAD/BIM in Food & Beverage and related industries
• Autodesk Revit Architectural, Structural, MEP, Civil3D, Plant3D, AutoCAD and Navisworks experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational Leadership / Communication Expertise

Desired Education/Experience

• Experience with A&E Design Consulting
• B.S. or BA preferred, but not required.
• Experience with designing Food & Beverage, Federal, and Industrial systems/facilities
• Experience with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical Plumbing, HVAC, Utility and Refrigeration, Electrical, Controls, Process and Packaging 2D/3D design applications and add-ins
• Experience in the following applications
  • Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD FabCADmep, Navisworks (Freedom, Simulate and Manage), Inventor, MicroStation
  • Add-in applications - ImaginIT Clarity Security, Enscape3D, FabCADmep, CTC Suites, AutoTable, JTB Tools and Bluebeam Revu
  • CAD/BIM management and DMS applications - Autodesk Revit Server/Clarity Security, BIM360/ACC, Autodesk Vault, ProjectWise, SharePoint, and Revit Guardian
  • Scanning and Scan to BIM Applications - Leica Cyclone, Enterprise/TruView viewers, EdgeWise3D, CloudWorx, PointFuse, Cintoo and Autodesk Recap
