CAD Technician (Entry Level)

Keystone Wood Specialties is a wholesale manufacturer of wood components for the custom cabinet, furniture and remodeling industries. We currently have an opening for a CAD Technician. This position would be responsible for receiving customer inquiries, taking sales orders and entering orders into computer for company products, processing daily paperwork, ensuring production receives necessary CAD drawings (.dxf files, etc.) needed to manufacture the product, and that drawings are accurate according to customer requirements.

This position is a good fit for someone who wants a challenging career with ongoing learning opportunities and enjoys helping customers succeed by using critical thinking and problem solving skills. You will work alongside our Product Development Technician, as well as closely with Customer Service Representatives, to gain the extensive knowledge needed to be able to create CAD drawings of custom products as needed, create files for the CNC router, laser engraver and other CNC equipment using AutoCAD, AlphaCAM and other post processors. This position requires individual to answer questions about our products, prepare detailed quotes and take complex orders from customers for items like cabinet doors, drawer boxes, etc. and enter those into our order entry system.

Qualified candidates would be self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to multi-task and adapt to a quickly changing environment. Strong telephone, computer and math skills are required.

Previous experience in the wood industry is a plus. CAD experience, order/data entry experience, & experience with macOS is preferred.

This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM.
