Cad Specialist

Studco Building Systems is looking for a CAD Specialist to join its Programming and Engineering team!  If you are eager to learn and grow, come be a part of a fast paced team today!

The Entry-Mid level CAD Specialist is responsible for scheduling and pulling all files to be run for the day to the turret punch, folding machine, and door machine.  See below for more detailed responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform DXF and macro imports to execute programs at the part and full steel sheet level.
• Receive and organize technical drawings for custom sales orders, while assisting in the day-to-day programming of a CNC turret press.
• Create programs for the CNC Router and assist in program troubleshooting.
• Recognize and communicate the order in which parts need to be manufactured based on priority and ship dates.
• Help diagnose drawing and programming errors that occur throughout the process.
• Working Knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, CADMAN-PL, Maestro and Excel.
• Understand and maintain confidentiality relating to all business activities, especially relating to manufacturing details and customer/ supplier details. Insure employees are doing the same.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Liaising with manufacturing associates on production floor.

Required Skills:

• Education – Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• 0-3 years of experience
• Advanced Computer Skills – Including working with AutoCAD and Inventor
• Scheduling and organizational skills
• Strong mathematical skills
• Customer Service Oriented
• Reasoning Ability
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work as a team
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of CNC Programming software
• Basic knowledge of VBA or other programming languages
