CAD Engineer II, Manufacturing Tools Specialist

Lucid Motors is looking for a talented and motivated Engineering and Manufacturing Tools Support Specialist to support our team in Casa Grande, Arizona. This person who fills this role will support Lucid Motors with manufacturing and engineering software tools expertise, identify business process gaps, engage with engineering and manufacturing customers, document best practices, support integration activities and implement efficient and effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and assistance for the use of PLM and Delmia processes and tools.
• Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand functional requirements for CAD, PLM, Delmia and digital factory tools.
• Work withIT/software provider to understand the software capabilities/limitations of the current toolsets including CAD/CAM/ERP/MES/PLM, including Delmia.
• Support enterprise processes like change management, simulation, MBOM and BOP development.
• Serve as level-one contact for customer support regarding technical issues, monitoring of defects, documentation of problems and root cause analysis thru confirmation and validation of solutions.  
• Create documentation for issue resolution, best practice guidance and growing the corporate knowledge bank.
• Develop, document, implement and provide consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, Manufacturing Tools, processes, and standards.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or related degree 
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role 
• Automotive industry experience preferred 
• Effective communication skills for one-on-one support and presentation to groups 
• Comfortable with developing mid-management and user level relationships 
• Collaborative with a problem-solving mindset 
• Prior application of engineering, manufacturing and process planning tools (PLM tools, CAD design processes, production, planning, change management and simulation).

Skills

• Required: 
•          3DExperience (DELMIA, ENOVIA, CATIA) 
•          Understanding of manufacturing approaches, systems and challenges 
•          Basic knowledge and awareness of ERP and MES systems and integrations
•  
• Preferred: 
•          Scripting / programming skills preferred (VBScript, Python, C++, etc.) 
•          Experience with developing processes for change management and simulation

Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Casa Grande: $96,000 - $137,500

Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
