We are an established Land Surveying company seeking an eager Part time AutoCAD Drafter. Successful candidate must be highly motivated, organized, and proficient in AutoCAD. Projects rage from small residential to large scale commercial development. Typical efforts include boundary surveys, topographic surveys, As Built surveys, and Elevation Certificates. Candidate will be required to implement requested edits and changes into already drafted plans as well as draft survey plans from start to finish.
Job Summary
We are seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team! As a CAD Drafter you will be working closely with Professional Land Surveyors and Office Management staff to draft Survey Plans in Carlson to specifications that are detailed, accurate, and visually appealing. You will follow company CAD guidelines for all processes, including naming conventions, data storage, and layout standards. The ideal candidate has experience with Carlson Software and Land Surveying, excellent communication skills, and works well within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Take given specifications and draft accurate, attractive drawings in AutoCAD
- Work closely with other members of the company verify accuracy and details
- Follow all company guidelines for best practices
- Track all time spent on projects accurately.
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- An associate degree or technical school degree in the field of AutoCAD, Drafting, Surveying, Civil Engineering, would be preferred.
- Previous experience with Carlson, or similar software
- Prior Land Surveying CAD related project experience desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work well within a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Houry: $25 to $35 per hour

Education:
- Associate degree or some college in a relevant field.
- Someone continue their education in Land Surveying is preferred.
Experience:
- Land surveying: 3 years preferred.
License/Certification:
- Surveyor License not required.
- Driver's License required
Work Location: In office in Westampton, NJ and in various field locations around NJ
