Job Description
Position Overview
As a CAD Designer/Drafter at Mathews Company, you will be responsible for the ongoing design and refinement of components and assemblies for our agricultural machinery. This includes creating production documentation through 2D drawings, exploded views, isometric depictions, and more. You will be working with complex assemblies that may consist of thousands of parts, requiring a keen eye for detail and precision. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is crucial, as is experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, particularly Autodesk Vault for revision control and engineering change orders.
Key Responsibilities
Create, revise, and enhance parts, assemblies, and weldments for our agricultural machinery using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Generate 2D drawings, exploded views, isometric depictions, and other production documentation.
Work with complex assemblies that contain a large number of components.
Utilize a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, particularly Autodesk Vault, for revision control and engineering change orders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet quality and functionality standards.
Requirements
3-5 years of relevant work experience as a CAD Designer/Drafter.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Experience creating parts, weldments, and assemblies in Inventor.
Ability to produce production documentation, including 2D drawings, exploded views, and isometric depictions.
Basic technical writing skills would be preferred for preparation and revision to work instructions, product manuals, and technical service bulletins.
Familiarity with complex assemblies containing thousands of parts.
Knowledge and experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, particularly Autodesk Vault.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
