Your role:
In your role as an Electronics Engineering Technician, you will support the Redstone Logistics Maintenance Activity on Redstone Arsenal. Using your, electrical, and technical experience, you will perform duties to include soldering of surface mount components of circuit assemblies to military specifications, fabrication and repair of cable assemblies and wiring for test and military hardware, custom interface boxes and other test hardware in accordance with appropriate Military Standards. Perform analysis, integration, functional test, troubleshooting, and check-out of hardware according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
Primary duties will include (but not limited to):
- Constructing and repairing wiring harnesses and other cables requiring soldering and crimping from schematics, drawings, and oral instructions.
- Terminating cables using soldering and crimping type connectors and attaching cable leads to PCBs.
- Troubleshoot cable harnessing.
- Performing minor electrical modifications, rework, and quality testing on PCBs.
- Read, interpret, and modify wiring diagrams, schematics, and other reference materials.
- May be utilized in other electrical fabrications activities, depending on experience and qualifications.
- High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 year's related technical experience.
- Must have Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience working with established processes and procedures.
- Experience working with various soldering tools.
- Experience with U.S. Army maintenance systems.
- Aviation Maintenance Experience.
- J-STD-001, IPC-a-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certifications a PLUS
