The role of this group is to provide technology solutions to Discretionary and Quant traders. General responsibilities include:
Develop order management system components and libraries using C++ on Linux.
Develop trading tools for Quant traders using C++ (server and GUI).
Understand aspects of Exchange/ECN connectivity, Order Management System and High Frequency trading.
Qualifications
Previously designed, develop, and support automated trading systems
Must be solid and strong in C++. Minimum 5 year experience in C++/C on Linux/Unix.
Experience in low latency programming (shared memory, lockless queues, etc) and Linux kernel.
Must have strong experience in:
Building libraries and server side components.
STL, Boost libraries, etc
Working experience of one of the Linux/Unix scripts. Perl, bash, and etc.
Good knowledge of technical architecture design and a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in that architecture.
Familiar with US and International Equity markets.
Able to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
