Food & Beverage Product Developer

What we do:
Our small, but influential CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) consultancy operates out of Downtown Brooklyn in the thriving health/organic sector of food and beverage. We have been operating for 7 years, ushering over 200 brands and 450 products to market, while working with some of the nation's most influential brands as well as pre-launch start-ups. Our goal is to help others bring innovative and impactful plant-based and natural food and Beverage Products to the world.

Who we are looking for:
Our small, yet fast-paced environment needs a Product Developer to be a key player in creating new and existing product formulations. This person should be an organized self-starter who has experience in the food and beverage space. This person should not only possess an interest in hands-on development, but also in administrative duties. We are looking for a creative and diligent problem-solver who can grow with our lab.

Responsibilities will include:
Create and prepare benchtop samples of food and Beverage Products based on client goals.
Document precise data in Google Sheets.
Prepare and send lab documentation such as batch sheets, nutritional estimates, supplier lists, and approved formulas.
Conduct proper laboratory and sanitation practices.
Collaborate with other formulators on every aspect of the project.
Lead in-person formulations and tastings with clients.

Skills we are looking for:
Proficient in math.
Precise with measurements and documentation.
Strategic thinker who has an ownership mindset.
Culinary background is a plus.
Highly organized, structured, and excellent at prioritizing based on company goals.
Comfortable using general lab equipment.
Working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel functions.
Able to present data effectively and efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
