Description
The Buyer's Assistant is responsible for providing support to assigned Buying division(s) through report generation and analysis of business results. The Buyer's Assistant also contributes to assortment planning, seasonal financial planning, and store and e-commerce planning.

The Buyer's Assistant is responsible for providing support to assigned Buying division(s) through report generation and analysis of business results. The Buyer's Assistant also contributes to assortment planning, seasonal financial planning, and store and e-commerce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships and engage with vendors, store management, and internal departments
- Perform all functions of allocation to include pre-allocating, monitoring, and proactively tracking of merchandise through Model Management, Consolidations, Replenishment schedules, and Warehouse distribution schedules.
- Assist Buyers in projecting and managing Open-to-Buy.
- Assist in the selection and purchase of merchandise.
- Management of the promotional calendars for both online and brick and mortar marketing for division
- Ensure accurate support documentation for orders, advertising, and samples.
- Analyze, forecast, and propose pricing mark-downs.
- Create analysis based on trends and review results with Buyers
- Analyze performance regarding SKU’s, vendors, sales, margin, and inventory.
- Identify opportunities in sales, margin, and inventory.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Retail Merchandising or related field required.
- Experience as a Planner or Allocator is desirable
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Comprehensive understanding of retail math
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel up to 10%
