The Skills that will Make You Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; and 3+ years strategic sourcing/procurement experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships; you are the face of Global Sourcing & Procurement to many of our external and internal strategic partners.
- Experience with sourcing and negotiating.
- Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the Supply Chain industry as well as current trends.
- Experience in one or more of the various modes including Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Dedicated Fleet, Small Parcel, Ocean, Air, or Contract Logistics.
- Strong presentation skills with experience presenting information to leaders.
- Highly analytical approach, leveraging exceptional Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven experience managing stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ideal candidates will have Coupa, GEP or similar e-sourcing/P2P experience/knowledge.
The Responsibilities You’ll Have:
- Participate on cross functional teams in the execution of assigned strategic sourcing initiatives and the implementation of category strategies.
- Lead tactical negotiations for SOW and Principal Agreement engagements.
- Collaborate with Business Partners to drive value for the business while maintaining high quality service standards.
- Ensure key Business Partner alignment and satisfaction.
- Prepare and execute negotiation plans and work with the legal team as necessary such as for Agreements, Statements of Work, Change Controls, Quote Renewals, Proofs of Concept.
- Leverage negotiation skills, best practices, price/cost analysis, contract formation and administration to finalize agreements.
- Implement communication strategies to ensure accurate and timely flow of information to leaders, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Support Global Category Managers in the delivery of their regional or global sourcing events.
- Maintain fair, respectful, and productive relationships with our suppliers and reinforces our positive brand image within the supplier community.
- Participate in execution of contracts and ensuring compliance to our Approval Authority Schedule and Audit requirements.
