We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer-Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years, preferred 4 – 5 years of relevant experience, a strong background in working with ERP systems, and proven negotiation skills. The Buyer-Planner will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring efficient procurement, and contributing to overall cost-effectiveness. Duties and Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Source, negotiate, and secure agreements with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Evaluate supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
Inventory Planning and Management
- Utilize ERP systems to analyze inventory levels and demand forecasts.
- Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.
Demand Forecasting
- Collaborate with production and materials to analyze market trends and demand patterns.
- Generate accurate demand forecasts to support effective inventory planning.
Negotiation Skills
- Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contract agreements.
- Continuously seek opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization through negotiation.
Data Analysis
- Analyze data from ERP systems to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports to management on key performance indicators and procurement metrics.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years (preferred 4 – 5 years’) experience in procurement, buying, or planning roles.
- Strong experience working with ERP systems, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices in procurement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
