Position Overview:
As a Buyer of Contemporary RTW, this role will create a plan and vision for the specific categories of Sweaters and Dresses that represents a curated, contemporary assortment that is on trend, accessible, versatile and brings everyday edge to the EVEREVE customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possesses a contemporary understanding of the market and understands how to interpret the trend appropriately while exceeding quality expectations
- Exceptional understanding of seasonal businesses to ensure successful seasonal exit of jackets and outerwear
- Demonstrates well-versed negotiation skills that builds relationships based in integrity while also achieving financial expectations
- Experienced in driving the design and development of exclusive product
- Understands how and when to shift priorities independently to drive the global needs of the business
- Collaborates freely and without competition with fellow buyers to curate the very best assortment
- Possesses a firm working understanding of retail planning and is able to contribute and action on planning-based requirements of the role
- Entrepreneurial spirit – understands how to be fluid while also being effective. Appreciates navigating the grey
- Minimum of 1 year buying experience in Women’s Contemporary Ready to Wear, with prior fashion/apparel buying experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong retail planning and analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel
