About The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst with a focus on data to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of both business processes and data analysis techniques, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This role will also involve close collaboration with various stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements for data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements related to data their data needs. This includes understanding business objectives, data sources, and desired outcomes.
- Data Analysis: Analyze existing data sources and structures to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in data extraction processes. Evaluate data quality, integrity, and relevance to ensure accurate extraction and utilization.
- Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation of functional requirements, including workflows, data mappings, transformation rules, and data validation criteria. Maintain detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, and business users to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementations. Facilitate discussions and workshops to resolve conflicts and prioritize requirements.
- Solution Design: Assist in designing data extraction solutions that meet business objectives while considering technical feasibility, scalability, and performance requirements. Provide recommendations for tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance data extraction capabilities.
- Testing and Validation: Develop test scenarios and collaborate with QA teams to validate data extraction processes. Conduct functional testing to ensure that extracted data meets specified requirements and supports business use cases.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data extraction and analysis. Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on data extraction matters. Communicate effectively to ensure understanding of requirements and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- AA or Certification degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, with a focus on data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, SQL, Oracle Database, and data modeling concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality documentation and deliverables.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
