As a Business Resilience Specialist, you will coordinate, develop, monitor and implement resilience capabilities with organization leadership or their designees providing capabilities to prepare, prevent and respond to outages, capacity and performance incidents.

Responsibilities
- You will coordinate routine compliance management projects and maintenance to ensure assigned Microsoft organizational units meet periodic compliance with Microsoft's Enterprise Resilience (ER) baseline policy and additional certification requirements required by the organization over and above the baseline
- You will work as part of the team on designing and implementing comprehensive crisis management strategies and protocols tailored to organizational needs.
- You will interpret broad guidelines to perform routine risk assessments for Microsoft organizational units to identify points of vulnerability, points of failure, and risk avoidance and mitigation strategies (e.g., impact analysis, dependency mapping).
- With minimal guidance, you will partner with assigned Microsoft organizational units to test resilience and recovery strategies against a wide range of routine potential incidents affecting people, locations, and technology to assess response time, resilience plan effectiveness, and Microsoft organizational unit readiness.
- You will assist in collecting data for identified opportunities relating to potential business interruption and other risks. Partners with assigned Microsoft organizational unitsto close routine risk gaps that could have a significant impact on business operations.
- You will act as an informational resource for Microsoft employees by sharing basic knowledge of resilience and response best practices and industry trends. Supports the development and facilitation of employee training aimed to promote enterprise resilience and facilitate more effective response.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business Continuity, Mathematics, Statistics, Disaster Science, Computer Science, or related field.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year(s) experience in reliability, resilience, crisis/incident management, business continuity, risk management, engineering, or compliance work
- Experience with crisis or emergency management
- Experience with emergency safety continuation amidst natural disasters
- Experience with business continuity
- Familiarity with humanitarian affairs
- Experience with leadership facilitation skills, with the ability to shape programs and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in program and project management
Business Resilience IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $72,800 - $144,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $95,100 - $157,900 per year.
