About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Rockstar Business Research Librarian who truly enjoys exploring and organizing Deep Industry Research. What does this look like? An associate would take an industry, identify all the different segments in that industry, then hierarchically categorize those segments. An analyst would also help classify content to these industry segments and extract other metadata from content with the help of AI/ML. The associate will be trained and led by our Director of Research in both one-on-one training and group training/meetings.

Let’s take the Aerospace industry as an example: Our team has identified over 21,000 different segments within the Aerospace industry. This allows a company to categorize their video-and-audio content exactly where they belong within the Aerospace industry. If you are a company that designs software for attack helicopters, we have a segment for you to upload your content. If you are a company that manufactures seats for commercial jets, we have another segment for you to upload your content. Our industry taxonomies allow us to classify a company’s content to the exact place they belong within an industry. What’s the benefit of this? It allows companies to be easily found by all users of the VideoXRM platform.

This is an opportunity to conduct deep industry research and learn a tremendous amount about this and other industries. This is also an opportunity to work with our AI and to train it to categorize content. This position requires excellent research skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of focus and concentration. We are seeking candidates who have the ability and willingness to understand our Company users that will be placed within this and other industry classifications and how front-end users would search for product/service segments, as well as companies and industries, in order to build a customer-centric platform. This is a remote position with a flexible schedule. We are currently looking for candidates to start ASAP.

What You Will be Doing

• Conducting thorough external research on assigned industries to ensure maximum granularity of our product
• Building hierarchical taxonomies of various industries
• Training our AI to classify content
• Participating in group meetings
• Brainstorming ideas and using creative thinking to add value to our product
• Collaborating with other team members on various projects
• Participating in the design of elements of the platform

Team

Our Company’s founders come from fund management, corporate finance, trading, national commercial banking, software, and app development. Other team members are experienced in library science, data analysis, project management, business analytics, and other specialties. Compensation

This position begins with equity compensation until we close our financing. Equity = an estimated $60,000 compensation per year. Thereafter it will be additional equity + market salary.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must Enjoy Deep Industry Research
• Strong Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail
• Quick learner who enjoys problem solving
• Fluent English required; there will be much team communication and training happening verbally, so communications skills are a must
• Strong English Grammar skills
• A team player who can be relied upon to complete tasks and add value to our product
• Some form of work experience where responsibility and professionalism were demonstrated
• Access to the internet and ability to participate in video conferences
• Must be located in US Time Zones (EST - HST) for the sake of being able to attend team meetings regularly
• Graduated from an accredited university with a 3.2 minimum GPA, bachelor’s degree or higher
• Preferred degree in Library and Information Science, or any related field
• Minimum of 3 years of Research Experience in Business, Industry, or related field
• Minimum availability of 20hrs per week. A one-year commitment is required
• Platform/Database Design experience a plus but not required
• A good attitude :)
