Headquartered in New York, the Claims Conference is a global, non-profit organization committed to providing a small measure of justice to Holocaust Survivors. Since our founding in 1951, the Claims Conference has secured more than $90 billion from the German government in indemnification for Survivors. In 2021, the Claims Conference distributed approximately $625 million in direct compensation to over 260,000 survivors in 83 countries and allocated approximately $640 million in grants to over 300 social service agencies worldwide that provide vital services for Holocaust survivors, such as home care, food, and medicine. Responsibilities:
- You will familiarize yourself with the Claims Conference programs and organizational structure in order to understand organizational needs;
- Act as document manager for new applications, forms, and letters used for claim processing; including copy editing, formatting, and coordinating translations of new documents;
- Create style guide for form letters and ensure compliance with style guide;
- Coordinate large scale mailing campaigns; includes creating mail merges and collaborating with mailing vendor or internal mailroom staff on execution of mailings;
- Organize email campaigns in MailChimp;
- Monitor existing reports to draw conclusions on ongoing trends and identify issues;
- Assist project managers to plan and execute a variety of project for the organization by organizing and storing project reports and documents and tracking project progress;
- Document decisions on process or policy changes;
- Manage multiple small projects/ initiatives in parallel;
- Develop ad hoc reports as required by senior decision makers to answer specific questions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Highly organized;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Good time management skills with an ability to act with sense of urgency;
- Superior verbal and written communication skills;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
- Ability to gather, read, analyze, and interpret complex data and create accurate meaningful information;
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities;
- Ability to work with others and as part of a team;
- Ability to effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably and handle uncertainty.

Our target salary range for Business Process Associate in the New York City market is $50,000-$55,000. This salary range represents Claims Conference's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
