Business Office Clerk
Hancock Pharmacy is seeking Business Office Clerks to join our team. This position is responsible to assist in duties for the efficient and effective operation of the Business Office. The candidate will be comfortable undertaking a variety of activities in the office including filing, answering the phone, organizing documents, basic bookkeeping, and more. The ability to work diligently and possess a strong work ethic are a must. The position requires a person who has excellent organizational and time management skills and is detail oriented. Successful work experience as an Office Clerk or in another clerical position is helpful.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to successfully multitask and operate under deadlines with little or no supervision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Software experience in Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10 guidelines and Durable Medical Equipment helpful
- Flexible, adherence to confidentiality
- Two (2) Part Time Positions Available, schedules are the following:
- #1 - Sun.- 9:00am-1:00pm, Mon.- 1:00-6:00 pm, Tues. Wed. Thurs.- 9:00am- 1:00pm, Fri. Sat. OFF
- #2 - Sun. Mon. OFF, Tues. Wed. Thurs. 1:00-6:00 pm, Fri. Sat. 9:00am-1:00pm
Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Entering patient demographics into electronic billing systems
- Filing medical records and payments with attention to detail
- Handling incoming and outgoing medical/customer service calls
- Reviewing delinquent accounts to prepare these for collection
- Assisting other office staff with various office duties as needed
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge is preferred but not required
