Business Intelligence Director, Data Systems

Heritage New York Medical, PC (HNYMPC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Business Intelligence team as the Director of Database systems to support development and ongoing maintenance of programs that adhere to required specifications, encourage productivity, and improve the efficiency of business operations.

The Director, BI, Database Systems is a hybrid position requiring onsite work 2 -3 days per week at our Garden City, NY location. This position ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Director, BI, Database Systems will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Works as an integral member of the Business Intelligence Department.
• Works on building and monitoring jobs, stored procedures, SQL scripts and data marts.
• Design and build applications for various departments to help improve workflow and reduce administrative costs.
• Design and develop reporting applications.
• Run special projects as assigned by Executive Leadership Team and AVP, Clinical Ops
• Dashboard reporting to display key performance indicators (KPIs), i.e. Executive dashboard, Home Visit, Appointment and other Dashboard utilizing the data from NextGen.
• Occasional IT Hardware Set up/Networking Issue resolution and support.
• Ad hoc reports as requested.
• Meeting with development managers to discuss and add input to software projects
• Conducting feasibility studies for upgraded software systems.
• Managing project timelines and tasks
• Training staff on software use as needed
• Ongoing Website maintenance
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, data science or related field.
• Minimum Five years experience in data warehousing, reporting tool development and analytics.
• Minimum Three years experience in healthcare field.
• Database Design, Cleansing, Analytics, and Optimization.
• Microsoft Office 365 Proficiency, VBA.
• Knowledge of systems interfaces.

EXPERIENCE: SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

• Extensive knowledge of SQL programming, stored procedures, SQL SSIS-SSRS-SSAS
• Project Management principles
• Understanding of HIPAA Laws and Cybersecurity. Training will be provided.
• Knowledge of NextGen PM and EHR, template Operations and system configurations a Plus.
• Excellent observational, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Knowledge of Macroexpress, Maptitude Software including Map Design, a plus.
• Independent problem identification/resolution and critical decision-making skills.
• Must be able to prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks/demands simultaneously.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision, manage time effectively, maintain control over all current projects/responsibilities and follow up on all relevant issues as required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $107,000.00 per year
