Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Integration: Responsible for collecting data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and consistency, and integrating it into a centralized system. This may include working with APIs, databases, and external data sources.
- Data Warehousing and Database Management: Designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses and databases. This includes setting up data storage solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Data Transformation and ETL Processes: Developing and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. This involves transforming raw data into a format that is suitable for analysis and loading it into an appropriate data store or warehouse.
- Data Modeling and Architecture: Designing data models to effectively capture and represent business processes and requirements. This may also include optimizing data architectures for Business Intelligence and analytics.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Assisting in data analysis and creating reports to provide insights and support business decision-making. This could involve using BI tools, SQL, or other technologies to extract insights from data.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization: Regularly reviewing and optimizing data processes and systems for improved performance and efficiency.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements, and translating these into technical specifications.
- Data Quality and Governance: Ensuring high standards of data quality and integrity. Implementing policies and procedures for data governance and compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
- Technical Support and Training: Providing technical support for BI tools and systems. Training end-users on new reports and dashboards, and assisting them in understanding the data.
- Staying Current with Industry Trends: Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and data analytics.
- Problem-Solving and Innovation: Identifying and addressing data-related problems, and proposing innovative solutions to improve Business Intelligence capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Data Engineering.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience working with Snowflake and ETL tools.
- Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience dealing with internal or external customers being a bonus.
