Form of workJob Title: Business Intelligence AnalystLocation: Thurston County - Olympia, Washington-RemoteCloses: November 29th 2023Salary: $6,939.00 - $9,332.00 MonthlyThe Opportunity:The Business Intelligence Analyst for Child Welfare acts as a statewide specialist and supports DCYF's mission by providing experience on outcomes for children in DCYF's Child Welfare system. This position will focus on conducting research and analysis, developing strategies, and providing consultation to different teams across the department. This position will also collaborate with Child Welfare and OIAA as well as IT staff and regional staff within DCYF to create products and visualizations that incorporate data elements at the level of children, families, providers, and systems to address permanency tops, trends, and analysis.Some of what you will get to do:* Designs Extract Transform and Load (ETL) log specific to analytic needs.* Translate requirements into application prototypes.* Construct automated reports.* Create data to integrate reports into CA's report navigation application.* Write, debug, and maintain code.* Lead requirements gathering sessions.* Document functional and technical report designs* Develop test scripts for different types of data validation activities that cover business and technical requirements.* Review existing or developed code to understand the technical implementation of the requirement.* Obtain, clean, prepare, and import data from disparate DCYF systems and data sets from external partners.* Identify relevant measures and data sets for permanency outcomes.* Provide expertise on relevant data as well as present case outcomes.* Primary contact with contracting external evaluators and conduit between permanency staff and evaluators.Required Qualifications:At least four years of IT experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, coding, and/or maintaining software applications and/or databases, and providing technical support in Information Technology and at least three years of recent experience developing analytic data solutions using a Business Intelligence reporting tool.* Experience can be obtained concurrentlyIn addition to the requirements above, our ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following:* Two years of experience working with Star Schema Data Warehouse databases.* Three years of recent experience working with relational databases.* Three years of experience writing T-SQL.* Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files.* Experience testing complex analytic data products and analytic systems.* Experience using an automated flowcharting tool such as MS Visio.How do I apply?
