Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Business Intelligence analyst of the HCA Patient Logistics Center you will:

• Synthesize IT data from multiple applications and data sources in response to ad hoc requests by department/hospital/division/enterprise leaders
• Manage a suite of recurring reports (daily/weekly/monthly/etc.) and reporting tools (i.e. dashboards) to ensure stakeholders (from departmental leads to enterprise Senior Leadership) have robust, timely, and accurate data to drive strategic decision making and monitor departmental performance
• Systematically/independently identify critical trends and communicates them proactively to the PLC AVP, developing additional reports/tools to support further analysis as needed
• Maintain a working knowledge of departmental/division/enterprise/industry strategic priorities to inform and focus their analysis
• Serve as the primary liaison between DSS and other analytics departments to ensure accurate use of transfer data and develop cross-departmental reporting tools as appropriate
• Educate/train stakeholders on all reports, data tools and Business Intelligence resources as needed
• Partner with department leaders to analyze productivity and performance data for key trends and opportunity areas
• Work closely with Corporate Patient Logistics Center Operations Manager to ensure all departmental reporting and analysis meets enterprise standards
• Create and maintain a suite of reports to monitor staff compliance with process and data standards. Partners with PLC leadership to address documentation quality issues at the department and employee level
• Provide ongoing education and training to transfer center staff on documentation standards
• Ensure all data and reporting is provided in a HIPAA compliant manner
• Coordinate and lead compliance initiatives, as requested
• Maintain an extremely high level of customer service by responding to all requests quickly and accurately.
• Provide education, training, and technical support to department staff on workflow/documentation applications.
• Serve as the primary admin for departmental workflow/documentation applications. (e.g. manages access, troubleshooting, settings, and data dictionaries)

Education and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (4 Year Program)
• Minimum 2+ years of analytics experience in healthcare or related industry required
• SQL Querying and Power BI experience
• Excellent communication skills

Preferences:

• 5 years analytics experience in healthcare or related industry preferred
• Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense, Access experience
