The Business Integration Specialist will work in the Business Integration Division (BID) in coordination with state, county and tribal experts in the Children and Family Services administration (CFS) and across the Department of Human Services (DHS). This position will serve as a leader working with Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM), product teams, communication, and service delivery transformation efforts for Minnesota's Children and Family Services programs.
The position carries major responsibility for:
  • Ensuring the Enterprise Portfolio Management process is followed and that contributors in CFS understand the process. Provide continuous improvement suggestion to the EPM team.
  • Advising management concerning situations requiring immediate attention.
  • Representing the Business Integration Division and CFS, and developing effective relationships with agencies and organizations, whose work efforts impact or are impacted by the operations of the services provided by CFS. Provides feedback between CFS, DHS, business partners, MNIT Services, counties, tribal nations, and people served.
  • Developing communication strategies to ensure business partners are aware of changes.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Three ( 3) years professional experience working with public assistance programs at federal, state and or tribal level.
Experience must demonstrate the following bullets to be considered:
  • Knowledge of DHS management systems such as MAXIS, MMIS, SSIS, PRISM, MEC² and new systems being developed
  • Experience working closely with technical staff in the DHS and MNIT Services
  • Project management skills

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, social work or related field may substitute for 1 year of experience.
OR
Master's degree in Human Services, social work or related field may substitute for 2 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Experience managing politically sensitive efforts when working with other divisions, state agencies, local office, and the federal government
  • Work planning expertise with the ability to translate high-level information into detailed communication plans
  • Excellent skills in written and oral communications, public speaking, and presentation
