Business Information Consultant

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office one to two days per week). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Indianapolis, IN, Mason, OH, Norfolk, VA, Richmond, VA, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA.

The Business Information Consultantresponsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts and compliance professionals.

How you will make an impact:

• Creates and maintains databases to capture and track business performance.

• Analyzes data and summarizes output using summary statistical procedures.

• Develops and analyzes business reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of business and client alignment.

• Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.

• Works on business issues and devises best ways to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data informed by business requirements into usable decision support tools.

• Makes recommendations based upon data analysis.

• Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership, or external customers.

• Performs data analysis and reporting that encompasses a much higher level of complexity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

• Experience with relational databases (e.g. EDWard) and knowledge of query tools and statistical software strongly preferred.

• Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.

• Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills strongly preferred.

• Highly experienced with data analysis, integrity and management strongly preferred.

• Experience with data platforms including, but not limited to, SQL, Teradata, and Informatica strongly preferred.
