Summary
This role will provide critical pricing and underwriting support to the Evernorth Behavioral Health (EBH) business in developing new business financial strategies aligned to innovative product solutions. This includes financial model development aligned to monetization strategies of new solutions, new business financial strategy development and execution, design and development of new pricing models to support the end-to-end pricing and underwriting processes, and consultation with Go-to-Market teams for case-level strategies and decisions
Key Responsibilities
• Consult and effectively collaborate with Go-to-market teams on new business strategies, providing strong financial insights and recommendations to align incentives of Evernorth and the client in monetizing new solutions to drive optimal outcomes for Evernorth and the client
• Own new business financial strategies, taking into consideration the goals fo the Go-to-market and product teams as new product solutions are developed and prepared to quote and sell
• Design and support development of pricing models to enable an efficient end-to-end pricing and underwriting process for new and innovative product solutions
• Partner with Renewal Lead in setting strategies for introducing new product solutions to the existing book of business, recognizing that the strategy will have to consider current book of business characteristics
• Own pipeline reporting in partnership with Go-to-market team with accountability for the new business forecast that is a key input to the financial planning and analysis work on the broader team
• Build and maintain strong business relationships that enable effective communication and collaboration in a matrix environment
• Leverage financial results and available competitive intel to influence new business strategy and recommendations to drive new business growth that aligns to the established strategy and business goals
• Define a set of key risk and financial metrics that are measurable, actionable, and insightful in monitoring the pipeline and emerging financial results of the new business pipeline and new sales
• Actively incorporate feedback - anecdotal and quantitative - into the pricing and underwriting methodology and processes to refine financial positioning of new solutions in the market
• Manage one direct report and one skip level report that will align to the above responsibilities.
• Enable and empower team to deliver on their goals, both business aligned initiatives and personal development goals
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, finance, or related roles with a strong track record of success
• Strong technical ability to make models simple for the users
• Strong analytical ability to translate data and other information into actionable recommendations
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with different business partners
• High degree of personal accountability, strong resourcefulness, and a goal-oriented mindset
• Ability to work effectively across teams in a matrix environment

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 102,400 - 170,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
