Job Description
The Senior Business Development Associate will develop documentations and presentations that support EDPR NA DG’s negotiations and client relations. You will also analyze market and regulatory trends to aid decision makers in identifying the most value-adding revenue strategy for the company’s projects. This role will assist with commercial deal structure and power purchase agreement (PPA) negotiations.
Main accountabilities:
- Provide accurate analyses to assist with PPA negotiations and other commercial transactions
- Develop appropriate data, market intelligence, and analysis to advise Origination team
- Prepare responses to requests for proposals
- Create presentations for potential PPA customers
- Work with the Development team to produce documents in order to support negotiation activities
- Work internally to analyze transmission/market design effects on proposed renewable projects
- Analyze the impact of current market rules by ISO on renewable projects
- Additional duties as required

Minimum qualifications:- Candidate should possess a BS/BA degree
- 2-3 years of relevant energy experience
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Ability to identify, prospect, and build business relationships with current and potential clients
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with others
- Knowledge of electric utility industry infrastructure, regulation, and business structures to support distributed generation project development
- Ability to synthesize information and data from numerous sources into coherent presentations and reports
- Enthusiasm to take on new and challenging tasks
- Fluency with basic financial concepts, including discounted cash flow analysis and customized pro forma modeling
- Familiarity with business contract structures including basic energy sales, and third party service agreements.
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise.(Preferred)
