Job description

Jefferson Wells delivers solutions and experienced talent to solve emerging challenges in Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance, Finance & Accounting, Tax Services, and Business Optimization. The Business Development Manager is responsible for building and managing a market/territory in collaboration with practice directors and fulfillment teams. Responsibilities include partnering with prospects, new and existing clients to provide solutions within the areas noted above.

Results & Strategy

Secure new business with prospects and existing clients in an assigned territory (New York Tri-State). Develop a pipeline of opportunities that drives Gross Profit dollar goals. Keep client information and sales leads up to date in CRM.

Client

Lead market efforts. Own the relationship with the client - drive the entire sales cycle, represent solutions that drive business results for your clients, manage client relationships, and pursue opportunities to expand scope and services. Build relationships with practice directors and consultants and manage overall client satisfaction.

Thought Leadership
Student of the firm in understanding and positioning thought leadership in Jefferson Wells practice areas, cross brands, and leveraging the full suite of ManpowerGroup solutions.

Experience:
7+ years career experience and understanding of finance and accounting, internal audit, risk, compliance, or tax. Experience with public accounting or professionals service firms is an advantage not requirement.

Sales
Experience selling to Finance decision makers. Ability to embrace a consultative sales approach that includes prospecting and client relationship building activities (Strong prospecting, territory planning, pipeline development, management of RFP/proposal process, negotiations and close skills); OR comparable industry experience in client service at 1st or 2nd tier accounting firm with exposure to consultative sales

Education
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Accounting/Finance/Economics, or related field

  • Strong business acumen; Experience in Jefferson Wells core practice areas
  • Experience prospecting to open doors and get meetings
