Nebula is seeking a Business Development Executive to lead the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business opportunities within Government Operations and the Space Sector. The candidate will leverage their deep understanding of the government’s mission priorities, as well as key relationships within relevant agencies, and pursue commercial enterprise partners and customers.
The Business Development Executive will also conduct a review of market trends and data analysis to identify business opportunities that would generate more revenue resources and profits according to public demands and interests.
Essential Functions
- Identify relevant RFPs and Grants
- Lead the development, documentation and submission of Proposals for government grants and RFPs
- Build and deepen executive relationships with public sector customers;
- Articulate and implement strategic territory and account plans aligned to strategic direction;
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, helping to advance our market and technical strategy, as well as oversee business development;
Other responsibilities:
- Ability to leverage C-level relationships with executives;
- Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to formulate, communicate, and implement an integrated business development strategy that provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting Nebula compute for the award;
- Identify specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating a relevant value proposition to potential customers;
- Understand the technical considerations, certifications, and procurement processes specific to the public sector;
- Responsible for Public Sector Revenue, Support and Product deliverable targets;
- Lead discussion of pricing strategy, GSA Schedule development and maintenance, and partnership programs in civilian and defense sectors;
- Lead discussion around strategy and cost for adapting commercial products to the government vertical and creating new products;
- Own the resulting strategy and its high level execution;
- Own relationships for key accounts. Ensure success of key pilot projects;
An Ideal Candidate has:
- Demonstrable track record of success in Federal government contracting
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and basic knowledge of contract law
- Successful track record advancing new business development strategies for opportunities of varying sizes
Please note: this is trial to hire role, ideal for someone who wants to take on an extra part time work: first months equity allocation, followed by transition into hourly paid role.
