Job Description:

Summary: Responsible for expanding our client and customer base through strategic prospecting and outreach initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Initiate Exploratory Calls: Engage potential customers through initial calls to assess their needs.
  • Understand Buyer Personas: Identify and comprehend the needs and challenges of our target market.
  • Lead Generation: Generate and qualify leads through various channels including cold-calling, cold-emailing, and social selling.
  • Proposal Coordination: Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate client information and notes in CRM software (Synergy).
  • Relationship Development: Cultivate and nurture relationships with new clients, dealers, contractors, and potentially large national accounts.
  • Strategic Planning: Brainstorm and implement innovative strategies tailored to our target market.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry standards and trends, including UL325, F2200, ASTM F2656, competitor activities, and market news.
  • Engagement Activities: Conduct Lunch and Learns, attend Trade Shows, and participate in face-to-face meetings and networking events.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain weekly expense reports, manage calendars, and report on call progress.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to achieve objectives.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Presentation Delivery: Prepare and deliver presentations about our products and services.
  • Collaboration: Regularly communicate and collaborate with colleagues in the Business Development and Sales department to improve processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate's degree with three to five years of Business Development or sales experience, or High School Diploma/GED with six or more years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
