Business Development Associate

At Maxxima, we are innovators dedicated to creating and developing technologically advanced LED lighting and electrical solutions for the consumer and transportation markets. We are looking for a full-time Business Development Associate to join our growing consumer division, MaxximaStyle.
This role is 100% onsite at our headquarters in Hauppauge, NY.

• Generate and prospect new leads from contractors, developers, realtors and other industry professionals
• Outbound calls to leads and existing customers eligible for our MaxxBuyer program
• Build rapport with customers, and identify cross-sell opportunities
• Educate customers about our products and answer technical questions
• Prepare customer mailings and materials for trade shows
• Place orders and provide support with customer service issues as needed
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities in Salesforce CRM
• Develop prioritized and actionable lead lists

• Bachelor's degree in any field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or ecommerce customer support
• Field experience or proven success selling lighting, electrical supplies or similar products
• Basic understanding of sales principles
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills to consistently maximize productivity
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Effective at working both independently and collaboratively with a team
• Salesforce experience a plus
• Magento experience a plus

The base salary range for this position is $50k - $80k annually.
