Job description

Kennedys, a growing global law firm, is looking for a Business Development and Marketing Assistant to join our team in the US. This is a hybrid role based in our Basking Ridge, NJ office.

Team

Kennedys Business Development team promotes Kennedys services and supports the firm's global growth ambition and our key clients and markets.

The global Business Development team consists of the following sub-teams, Pursuits, Clients and Markets, Client Development Systems and Marketing which encompasses, Digital, Brand and Events.

We also have a Business Development presence in each region around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery and production of high quality marketing deliverables that support the Firm's international growth ambition and its clients and markets, including digital, e-marketing and events
  • Support the BD team with website content management activities to include keeping relevant pages up to date; uploading new content; keeping directory rankings up-to-date; updating website profiles as part of the new joiners and leavers process; helping to maintain the assets uploaded in to the CMS such as profile and banner images

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of webinars, seminars and events (e.g. online host duties, badges; meet and greet)
  • Upload webinar recordings to the external website and Vuture site
  • Assist with testing website functionality e.g. when bugs or reported, or as part of a deployment
  • Help to maintain and update documentation and logging documents to keep them up to date e.g. training guides; video logs
  • Be first point of contact for any internal social media Assisting with typical user queries e.g. forgotten passwords; uploading profile pictures
  • Check main corporate social media accounts for PR/external publication mentions, to be logged in the PR tracker
  • Assist with producing basic regular analytics for the region, e.g. monthly articles/case reviews page views for publications
  • Undertake specific research tasks as required, such as looking at features of competitor websites, or finding particular social media accounts
  • Maintain and update content on the firm intranet, especially relating to the BD departmental pages, resources and calendars, and help with publishing firm news
  • Assist in keeping the Knowledge Bank current and coordinate with attorneys in the region to update relevant materials, such as jurisdictional guides
  • Assist with the production and proofing of publications, guides, thought leadership reports, and other marketing collateral
  • Support website content production, including updating attorney bios and uploading content
  • Support the coordination of marketing campaigns and sponsorship
  • Assist with compiling targeted mailing lists, for client communications, through research and information gathering (job roles, contact details, etc.) as required
  • Monitor partner and staff arrivals and departures, update headcounts, court admissions, etc.
  • Act as point of contact for global and regional staff photos. Arrange photoshoots and manage the process
  • Keep photo libraries up to date and upload to relevant portals and channels such as the website and Vuture
  • Support the Client Development Systems team with InterAction – processing data change tickets. Follow up on all returned mail, research people and company moves and ensure the firm's CRM system is updated accordingly
  • Ensure the branded merchandise stock is at a sufficient level
  • Support department with financial administration. Manage the team's invoice process, process invoices from suppliers; Provide monthly reports to the Head of BD - US; assist with the annual budget planning cycle
  • Support other members of the Business Development team during busy periods and absences with events, sponsorship, website, social media, client research and other administrative activities
  • Undertake from time to time any other duties and projects as may reasonably be requested, including general administration in the BD department
  • Assist with special projects as requested.
