About the Position
Roe Painting is looking to add a Business Developer/Prospector to the team. The Prospector is a critical part of our company and is responsible for identifying and developing new leads. The ideal candidate is proactive and tenacious in their drive to build relationships and professionally represent the company to ultimately increase sales.
Salary: $80,000-$100,000 expected first-year compensation with unlimited future potential. Pay structure will be a base salary plus commission based on new opportunities secured. Base salary and commission structure will be determined by experience.

Schedule/Hours: Full-Time, 40-50 hours per week with some flexibility
Key Responsibilities
Active Lead Generation:
Identify and relentlessly pursue opportunities to increase leads and sales that would not have been possible without your efforts
Focus on driving business to all painting and coating divisions, especially commercial repaint, industrial coatings and commercial floor coatings
Identify and network with key groups that fit our target markets
Continually reach out and build relationships with new prospects in our selected divisions (lunch & learns, pop-in visits, text & email campaigns)
Extensively research to identify unknown prospects and turn them into warm leads
Communicate the benefits of Roe Painting over competitors accurately and persuasively
Identify decision-makers within prospective companies and get past gatekeepers to speak with them
Passive Lead Generation:
Collaborate with others to create marketing campaigns to reach prospects via email, direct mail, social media, etc.
Create and oversee our marketing calendar to drive results using various forms of outreach/marketing
Massage our current customer list to uncover new and repeat business opportunities from those clients
Expansion and Expected Results:
Fill the pipeline and schedule for Sales Reps in various divisions and locations
Generate interest in our services with potential prospects and pass leads to Sales Reps to estimate and close projects
Understand the difference between profitable jobs which fit our niche markets and those that do not fit
Create and follow repeatable systems and routines to achieve results using time-blocking, calendars, strategic planning, etc.
Develop new markets around service niches and geographical locations
Administrative:Attend and participate in sales meetings to give and receive feedback with Sales Reps and leadership team
Review/report activity with CRM to create a streamlined flow through our systems
Create and follow processes and follow-up systems to stay connected with prospects you’ve uncovered
Minimum Qualifications
Formal education is not as important as your skills, drive and experience
3-5+ years of professional sales or business development experience. Highly preferred in construction or home improvement
Practical and demonstrable experience with driving business leads and relationships
Technologically inclined and willing to learn new software. Must be Microsoft Office proficient
Ability to pass illegal drug screening and background check; good driving record
