Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Originates business credit and deposit relationships.
- Responsible for new business development through referral sources and cold calling efforts
- Develop and maintain a portfolio by assessing and meeting client's business and personal needs
- Increases market share by building new customer relationships and utilizes the Bank's finance products to attract business depositors to a more efficient Banking Relationship.
- Negotiate proper loan structure and effectively cross-sell products.
- Build and maintain a professional network of COI's and referral sources.
- Maintain stable network of prospective customers with a consistent calling approach as directed by management.
Travel
Ability to travel about 25% within the assigned Chicagoland region and throughout the BankFinancial footprint as needed. Up to 10% of out of state travel required.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years Commercial/Business Lending experience
- 2 years of outbound cold calling experience
- Proven successful track record in outbound Sales and Portfolio Management
- Strong Pipeline Management and phone skills
- Ability to possess, develop and maintain High Level business relationships with decision makers to source new and renewal business
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflow
Licenses/Certificates/Registration
- Certification and licenses as required by the SVP Business Banking
- Current with continued education requirements
- Notary Public preferred

- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook e-mail)
- Teller and banker platform systems
