About the position
The job holder is responsible for the management and execution of the CMA US change programme. In addition to that, they are responsible for the management and oversight of the CMA non-financial risk and business management functions. They report to the Head of CMA Americas, are a core member of the CMA Americas Management Team ("MT") and will also report to the Change Lead, CMA
About the department:
ING's Global Capital Markets and Advisory division offers a complete suite of Capital Markets (loan, bond, securitization, and selected equity) and tailored advisory services (M&A, Ratings and Debt Advisory) to clients.
Position responsibilities:
Strategy and Change
  • Codesign/develop, with the Head of CMA Americas and the MT, the strategic roadmap and implement the strategic roadmap by ensuring that:
    • Measurable and manageable strategic objectives are set.
    • There is a clear assessment of the skillset and mindset changes required.
    • A plan is developed that will ensure the successful delivery of the desired outcomes.
    • There is clear ownership and accountability for the various deliverables throughout the lifecycle of the related change programme, with structured checkpoints to monitor progress.
  • Act as a key interface with the heads of the (currently) four (4) individual business lines within CMA, providing them with guidance and advice on strategic deliverables, including critically appraising specific business opportunities / proposals and related actions.
  • Provide frequent progress reports to the Head of CMA Americas and other stakeholders on the delivery of the change plan.
  • Partner with Front Office teams to drive efficiency, automation and collaboration across CMA.

Human Resources
  • Work closely with the US HR Business Partner to ensure that the people plan is fully aligned with, and directly supports, the successful delivery of the strategic roadmap for the business. This includes:
    • providing input on organisational design, both in terms of team structure and composition of the leadership group.
    • ensuring the commercial rationale underpinning any proposed personnel changes is clearly articulated and is sufficiently robust to meet the statutory HR requirements.
    • collaborating on both talent management and learning and development, providing the right environment for personnel to maximize their contribution to the business.
  • Shape, and monitor delivery against, the annual KPI framework for the business, ensuring alignment with the overall WB / CMA strategic agenda.

Business Performance, Financial Planning & Control
  • Collaborate with the Finance Business Partners to develop and deliver a suite of business performance metrics that provide the Head of CMA Americas and the MT with both timely and informative insights that support them in the day-to-day management of the business.
  • Support the business lines with the development of their dynamic plan and ensure the rolling forecasts accurately reflect anticipated outcomes for the reporting period.

Governance
  • Ensure that an appropriate structure exists for the management of key commercial and operational activities. This includes clearly defined roles and responsibilities for both the core and extended management team.
  • Ensure MT ownership and delivery of agreed actions.

Risk / Control / Conduct / Regulatory
  • Oversee the governance process for operational risks and controls within CMA, providing guidance and support to the individual business units to ensure that they have effective management of their risk and control environment.
  • Work with key internal partners on the interpretation and implementation of all regulatory changes impacting the business.
  • Act as a constructive interface with all key Risk partners
  • Work with Product head on Business Manual updates and PARP approval processes,
  • Foster a culture of transparency on lessons learned (event / incident management; CAS / Compliance monitoring issues) to further strengthen risk and control awareness within CMA.

Internal Communication
  • Shape the internal messaging on the strategic roadmap design and delivery.
  • Produce regular, but concise, presentations and bulletins targeted at internal stakeholders and staff, ensuring that the CMA 'story' is presented in a consistent and purposeful manner.

Qualifications and Competencies
The candidate can work independently and can plan and make priorities without sacrificing on quality and deadlines. Demonstrate a collaborative mindset to get the job done.
Minimum BA/BS, MBA preferred in business administration, finance or relevant field. Alternatively, can show strong analytical skills from another discipline. FINRA licenses appreciated
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Work experience in/with CMA is preferred. Demonstrated strong competence with PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
Track record of utilising Power BI to simplify / improve reporting processes. Experience in interpreting and implementing policies, control standards procedures, and controls.
Essential: Excellent communication skills (English - verbal & written). Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Self-starter, with excellent organisational skills and ability to establish and deliver on priorities. Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and being part of a high performing team.

Salary:
Vice President: $160K - $210K
Director: $215K - $260K
