We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analytics Intern to join our team at Freudenberg Household Products / Vileda Professional. The assignment is 15-40 hours/week from approximately April 8, 2024 - August 2, 2024. Must be able to work hybrid. The successful candidate will work closely with our management, marketing, and sales teams. There are three phases of engagement which will cover a broad spectrum of practical experiences that are highly relevant in today’s business environment.
1. Business Entrance Strategy - Analyzing Markets & Building up strategy (Hospitality, General Business Cleaning, Healthcare). Duration: 5-8 weeks; 15 hours/week during school and then up to 40 during summer.
2. Marketing – Social Media & Website Analytics / Online Catalog Development. Duration: 4-6 weeks; ~40 hours/week.
3. Sales Analytics – Heat Maps/Revenue Analysis, Outbound Sales Data Analysis. Duration: 3-5 weeks; 32-40 hours/week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth market research to pinpoint strategic market segments.
- Assess market size and forecast growth trajectories.
- Grasp the nuances of customer needs and market dynamics.
- Conduct competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Craft pricing strategies that align with market expectations.
- Track social media engagement metrics to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability. Perform social media marketing research. Respond to comments and direct messages on social media platforms.
- Develop sales heat maps based on sales data across different states.
- Analyze sales data and trade spend to determine which distributors are generating the most profit.
Qualifications:
- A junior (or senior pursuing graduate school) pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration/Analytics, Entrepreneurship, or MBA.
- Ability to work hybrid, including being on-site in Aurora, IL as needed.
- Preferred classroom and/or intern experience in Go To Market Strategy (GTM).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical acumen.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to navigate complex problem-solving scenarios.
- A self-starter who thrives both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
